Different key positions on dream 305?

I have a 1967 Honda dream 305. I know this seems basic,but i cannot find the answer....When putting the key into the ignition, it can be moved to four different spots (one turns lights on, one seems to do nothing,..,) can anyone tell me what each of those key positions are for?

Off, on(ignition only), on with lights, off with the tail light on(key can be removed).

There were at least 2 different switches used, 5 and 6 position versions.

Here's the 6 pos. instructions:

The 5 position eliminated the "twilight" position, I believe.
