Advance mechanism

Hi. I have just bought a UK spec CB72 1965, dual points, (just like the one I had at school 42 years ago!). I have a problem with the ignition advance inasmuch as it doesn't advance & I can't find any sign of it. Can anyone help & tell me where it is situated & if new springs are available. All the best from sunny Lincolnshire , England.

The advance mechanism is in the middle of the camshaft. Attached is the page from a CL77 parts book showing the weights on the cam sproket.
