Fouling plug on a ca 77

Hello,
I am new to the forum. I have a 1964 ca 77 that fouls the left plug when cold quite a bit. I've changed the plug wires with Packard 440 wire, done new points, new plugs, timing is correct. My feeling is maybe a coil problem. Anyone have any ideas? It is a single point system.

Have you checked compression? Coils rarely go bad, but it has been known to happen.

I haven't, but I will. Should be between 125 and 150?

Less than 100 would not be good. Higher the better, but matching #'s is more critical in my opinion. If your #'s match and are good look elsewhere. 125 to 150 would be a good range , and obviously the higher the better.
