Lost titles?

I found a real handy company some may already know of for replacment titles. I see alot of these bikes for sale with no title,in the state if Indiana that can be a long process to get a new one issued. For 75.00 International title service fixed me up and it was fast. I took the paperwork to the local BMV today and it went thru slicker than snot! Just wanted to share that information for those struggling with a paperwork problem. here is a link( I hope) WWW. Steve,
I have been searching for a good hawk for a while but was staying away from bikes without titles. I live in PA and I heard its really tough to get a replacement title if you did not have the title in your own name. Do you think this company could help mee also????

buggy-I live in Pa. also. I used International Title Co. also because I built my bike from a frame without a title and had no trouble getting a Pa title for it. I just went to the local notory and showed them the paperwork and it was no problem getting a Pa. title.I had mentioned to you in an old thread I know where there is a 305 superhawk(not sure if they have the title) but I have not been back to the area to find out if the farmer that has it will sell it. I may be going there in June and may check into it. It will probably need restored.He has a Dream also I am interested in.Joe

I purchased a 1965 CL77, from an Ebay seller, two weeks ago.

The bike came with a Bill of Sale only and it was from an East Coast state.

Being from Michigan, the land of the auto industry, I was concerned that obtaining a clear title, from the strict State offices, would be a pain.

BUT ..... it was not!

I was first in line, at the Sec of State office, at 9 AM on a Tuesday. I presented the Bill of Sale to the young man working the counter and 11 minutes later ...... I was out of the office with a new clear title AND and new license plate!!!

I was able to obtain a new license plate, because I bought insurance on the bike and brought the "Certificate of Insurance" with me, (in Michigan you must a a Cert of Insurance before you can get a plate).

Anyway, in Michigan where autos are made and which has a reputation of "following the rules" when you go to the State offices, it was NO problem getting a clear title with only a Bill of Sale, from another state.

My seller DID have the Bill of Sale witnessed by a Notary in his area, which might have helped.

As I left the office, the young man said, "Well your motorcycle just went up in value!"

I suppose he was right. Having a clear title does answer a lot of questions, when the time comes to sell it.
