CB77 Foot peg rubbers

Post by Tim Allman » Mon Jan 28, 2019 12:00 pm

I have a package of four CB77 foot peg rubbers which I thought would be a complete set. It turns out that the front and rear are different but the parts tag is long gone from my set so I don't know if I have front or rear. How can one tell the difference?

And, what does NOK mean in reference to parts?

The fronts have a square cutaway to clear the folding pivot.

Thanks for a speedy posting. Any idea about NOK?

On an entirely unrelated matter, I see that DSS has greatly discounted their OEM CB77/72 rear rims. I paid US$195.00 in June. Now they are $125.00, the same as the aftermarket rim. Not a bad price.

NOK, to me, is ‘Norwegian Krona’ (Crown) currency...

This comes from a PDF parts book issued by American Honda. It appears only once on the page describing the swingarm.

012 CAP, DUST SEAL S 002 52144-268-000 0048751 A JPN
012 CAP, DUST SEAL S 002 52144-329-000 0282087 A JPN
012 CAP, DUST SEAL (NOK) 002 52144-356-005 0337915 A JPN

Interestingly no one I have asked has come up with a satisfying answer. The product code (356) belongs to the XL-350. This item, by the way, is still in the catalogue. I ordered a set and they appear to be a good fit.
