MK11 seat refurb

Ever since I finished the CB77 resto, I've been dis-satisfied with my seat refurb, I had to cut/shape the foam before re-covering, trouble was, I made it too thin & it looked like a 'slab'!!
New foam, cut, shaped then sanded to a 'better' shape, then the problems!!
Many of the pressed barb cover clips broke-off due to several 'bendings'.
I know of strips of barbs can be purchased & pop-riveted on, but I don't like the look of those, so I punched-out about 10 new ones, these were positioned between the old cut-outs.
A new cover fitted & I think it looks much more like it now!

Now that looks realy nice I have the David Silver one made in the far east I think and im not happy with it but I have a spare seat pan and I may just give it a try.
Can you say were you purchased the cover and the what looks like the correct chrome trim.

I bought the cover from ' P&K CLASSIC BIKES' on e-bay, I re-used the original stainless trim that was on the bike, luckily it was in very good shape, I just had to make new rivets.

Now I've done a couple, & feel a bit more comfortable with this, I'm going to have a go at cutting & shaping new foam, then fabricating a new cover for one of the big bikes, & I need something to do!!
