Advice on a 305 purchase

Post by Past & Present » Sat Jan 16, 2010 2:38 pm

I'm looking at a1967 Superhawk. It has chrome fenders. Is that correct for a 67? Frame # does
not match the engine #. The current owner says that is not unusual. It has 5,335 miles on it and one small dent on the front fork shroud, otherwise it is in very decent shape. It starts immediately and no smoke. He is firm at $3K. What do you think?

Chrome fenders are correct for a late 67. Engine and frame #s should be within 200 numbers of each other to be considered matching 3K sounds about right if the bike is in good shape, some good pics would be helpful.

Looks pretty nice! Missing mirrors, and rear footpeg rubbers.

That's about all I saw missing. I think I'll go for it. This will be my second one. My first one was 43 years ago.

Finally got the deal done on this 67. Just over 5,200 miles. Completely original, for the most part.
I'm lovin it.
