What finish did Honda use on their Aluminum?

I'm not sure how many have access to powder coating, but I've been using a powder called Pewter Metallic on my covers that looks to be very close in color to the original paint. It's certainly more durable than paint. Here's a picture but the old cover on the left is rather beat-up and faded.
