that had the look I was after...I dont want to sit up real high like the stock seat but didnt want my ass directly on the frame either-I built a seat base from 3/16 alum flat stock and bent it to match the frame contours-I used a seat pan off of a 68 yamaha 80 and using the stock seat mounts I
made a seat base that looks ok and none of the new base touches the frame(I have 1 inch rubber
between the frame and the new seat base) plus I made 2 seat springs for the new seat and it should ride like a "Dream". No holes were drilled into the frame for this modification -only existing holes were used to ensure that the next owner will be able to replace solo with the original seat
