CB77 Throttle Cable Length for Flat Bars

Post by 48lesco » Mon Jul 19, 2010 8:54 pm

Good Evening!!! I had Scrambler bars on my CB77 when I bought it, and cables to match. I now have OEM flat bars and the shortest throttle cable I could find in the rats nest of cables my local dealer had "in back." I did search (and find) a couple of topics on throttle cable length and routing, but I'm still not 100% clear, so I attached some pics. The top end of the throttle cable is measured as pictured. The bottom conduits are a hair over 9 inches long. Is this the right one or is there an even shorter one out there? Routed as LM suggests (around the right fork ear, etc.) there seems to be just a little too much slack.
Thanks,
Chuck
