Hi
I have a late model cb77 with folding footrests. I was wondering if there should be a spring on these as they keep folding up when I do not want them to!
If yes does anyone have a picture?
Thanks Greg

No return spring was ever used on CB’s.

Thanks Tim,
looks like I will have to learn to live with it or devise something myself.

Re: Late model cb77 footrests - spring?
Greg,
Have the same problem with them folding up when raising my foot from the ground. Thought maybe to tack weld them in the down position. The CB72 I owned in the 1960’s had the non-folding type which were much more practical.

Hi Gordon,
Yes I also have an older bike with the fixed footrests which I much prefer. I guess a tack weld could work quite well though if I can find a way of fitting a spring I think that would be my preference.
