Take my word for it. That raw steel will rust when you're not looking. ......................lm

Other than rechroming, what other processes can be done to clean them up? I purchased some of the aftermarket ones from ebay, and was very unhappy with the quality of them. That is why I decided to go the route that I did. Can you have them replated? The tumbler and the buffer really made them look nice...for now. Thanks for the input.

The original spokes and nipples were not chrome. They were ZINC plated and you have buffed that away so the raw steel can/will rust. I send mine to a plater in Fort Worth along with many other bike parts and have them CAD plated. IMO is better than ZINC and mush less likely to ever rust. .............lm

As I stated I send other bike parts and usually around 70# and the cost runs around $80.00. ..............lm

Spokes could also be a good candidate to try a home zinc/cad plating kit on:

So chaps, preferences? Chrome, cad-plated or s-steel? Talking about for my CB. The kits from Thailand look good-q.
Interested in your opinions, especially yours, lm. And especially if anyone's bought a Thai kit. I don't mind being a guineapig for you guys.
