Drive chain

Post by modelman » Wed Oct 25, 2017 1:43 pm

I have just got my second old junker to restore, a 64 (I think ) CA77.
Its missing a few bits, the chain being the one thats got me wondering, I found somewhere on this forum a 503 being mentioned, but looking at the parts manual, it mentions a 525 x 96 links, can someone tell which is correct please.

Chain size.

Never had a CA model but I'm sure LM is correct. Years back I used to race a CB77 and used 520 chain which needed the sprockets thinning down. I used a CA sprocket (16T) which needed less thinning than the 530 CB72/77 sprockets so must have been 525
