clutch adjustment

Post by bluejean » Mon May 11, 2015 5:02 am

I bought a 65 ca77. While trying to get a title. I needed to scratch coat the frame number which is on the left side of the bike near the gear shifter. I had to remove bike stand bolts, the chain cover, and the right side engine cover to get a clear view of the frame number. Putting everything back to original, I got a lot of play in the clutch lever. Is there a adjustment in the clutch actuator?

You may have lost the 5/16" ball bearing from the clutch actuator. The part in the RH side cover with the large slot is the clutch adjuster....

See items 5 & 6 here. The ball fits inside item 5.

I second that. Easy mistake, easy fix.
