Clutch plates needed.
I have been on here all weekend trying to find the info I need, but have not had any luck. I have a 64 CA77. I pulled the clutch since it was locked up. It has the 5 fiber plates and they are worn out reading 3 mm or so. Where would I find the aluminum core 4mm plates for sale? All the ones I have found say 3mm. I was able to clean up the steel plates and they are not warped. The other item I am missing is one retention spring. There is one holding the first steel plate in and I was able to remove it without tweeking it. Could somebody steer me in the right place, I'd like to order the 5 plates and spring tonight.

Part # 22201-268-020.
I recently bought 5. They measure 3.7mm thick.
Don't know about the spring.

HONDA had 9 different assemblies from start to finish.
The best was the CUSH DRIVE which came along around 1966.
All parts were different from others to that time.
IMO the best fix for the early designs uses the aluminum friction disc. and slotted steel disc.
Don't get concerned as HONDA had 5 plate, 4 plate, 6 plate then back to 5 plate designs.
The aluminum disc handle heat and so do the slotted steel as they have anti warp cutouts in the hole. ...............lm

My clutch steel plates have the round notches in the center. I have 4 thin plates and the one thick plate that is held in with the spring. If I order (5) 22201-mkz-000 friction plates is that going to get me where I need to be, or am I looking at buying another steel plate and friction disk since they are thinner? Do I need the second retaining spring?

Those plates are not as thick and the friction area isn't as wide as the 020 plates.
Yes you will need 6 of them and add one steel.
The 020 plates are much better. ...........................lm
