Shift Lever

Post by papabear » Sat Sep 13, 2014 11:56 pm

Hello. Need some help here. I have a 64 CL72 with a shift lever that has the rubber sleeve over the shifter. The microfiche parts guide shows a lever with a flat square end, no rubber sleeve. The factory service manual shows rubber sleeve. The service manual is a 63 printing. Did Honda change the pedal? Thanks

As far as I know the CLs always used the all-metal shifter with the square end.

Some will correct me if I am wrong.... :-)

I have a CL all metal shifter in decent condition. I'll sell it for five bucks + actual shipping. PM me. Mike

I have both types. The one on the bike now is the same as pictured in the CL250 fsm. I have the square one that is shown in the microfiche parts guide. Just can't figure our which is correct part. Thank you for the generous offer.
