Clutch Adjuster/

Post by young4vr » Mon Apr 21, 2008 6:56 pm

I am having a slight issue with my clutch. I had so it seem to be engaging when I pulled the lever, but the clutch was not engaged. I took the left cover off and was wondering if I should be able to push the rod in by hand or if the adjuster needs to set a certain way when assembled. Any help would be helpful. I did have the transmission apart earlier and the disks did look ok.

You will find a small part which can/must be able to be pushed in. If you still have the cover off you may want to look at the disc where they come out of the slots around the main basket and see if they are loose. If they are you have the adjuster on the right side adjusted so the release rod is pushing on the pressure cover and needs to have you loosen the bolt with a 10mm wrench and turn the adjuster counter clockwise and then see if the disc are no longer movable then follow the HONDA procedure for adjusting the clutch. .........lm
