Replaced the chain just fine, but I unfortunately cut it too short, dammit. So now I have two master links, next to each other. I'm thinking I might have to buy a new chain, I've heard it's not safe to run two master links next to each other. Anyone have any experience on this? A new chain is only $25 or so, so I dunno.

That sprocket is DOA. The rear faces of each tooth look OK but check the left (drive) face. See how bad that looks. Replace the sprocket and then buy a new chain and check the front while you are at it.

Where is the battery vent on your bike? That's the most common cause of failed links in my experience.
