Clutch question?

I'm certainly no expert on these and do not want to represent myself as such. I've played with motorcycles for a long time, but never did it for a living. I tend to think my knowledge is some kind of mechanical osmosis process. Every so often a tidbit of info squeezes thru one of the cracks in my thick skull.
