Put my cl77 engine together and can't find or understand the purpose of the o-ring that the clutch rod goes through. Does not seem to be in my gasket kit. What keeps it in place and where can I find one. Is there a substitute and what will happen if I omit it. Thanks

It keeps oil from seeping through the main shaft into your clutch actuator on the right side. It goes in a groove in the main shaft. It's available from Honda.

If that o-ring is all you need, I have an extra one I can just mail you. Your dealer will probably have to order it anyway. PM me your address if you want it.
