I guess I lack a little bit of experience on these machine's (and the indirect shifting is also new to me) .

My garage is a few kilometers away, it's evening now here in Holland, so I let you guys know tomorrow !

But I have faith now, indeed, when I check other CB72/77's on the internet, indeed, they are all set on 11 o'clock'ish.

My is at 12 o'clock.

I am very glad that you posted this question, the answers, and the photos. We were having the exact same issue with the new 5 speed NOVA transmission (1st and neutral were fine, 2nd-5th was very difficult). We were on the phone to NOVA in the UK, went over everything with Graham, and confirmed that the modifications were all done properly -- we were still scratching our heads. Then I saw this thread, mentioned it to John (mechanic), he checked, sure enough - it was at 12 o'clock. Moved it to the 11 o'clock position -- smooth as silk.
