The bike is done and I do have a NOS muffler but I don't like the looks of it on the bike. If I ever show the bike I may put it back on. In the mean time I made these and I think they look good and they do have a nice sound. I little throaty but not too obnoxious.
I went to a local metal supplier and purchased 2 stainless tubes 1.5" O.D. x 1" I.D. 2" and 2 tubes 1" O.D. with a 0.49" wall. I machined the 1.5 tubes to fit inside the tailpipe leaving .5" then polishing that part as it shows. I then drilled the 1" tube pressed it inside the 1.5 and slightly squashed the end (so a broom stick can't get through. Drilled and tapped a 6mmx1.0 hole on the side then installed.

Baffles
fordguy, you are something! what a great job with the stainless tubing and I like the finished product. I have been looking for some of the original CL72 baffles so I could ditch my muffler and run the straight pipes sinc eit looks so much better. If you start making more of these please PM me so I can get aset. Great job!!!
