Rear Shcocks

Are there any rear shocks out there with metal covers. I'm missing one and everything on
ebay has plastic covers.

I believe that your bike should have plastic covers.

If you really want steel then search for early shocks from '60-'62, they usually had metal covers.

Also look for shocks with white covers. They remained as steel.

Also search for shocks for C70, C71 and C76.....

Maybe i have mine identified wrong ? Could it be a 60-62 ?

No - CA78 didn't come out until late '63. Yours should be plastic, unless it's a white one......
