Front fork spring guides
P/N 51523-268-000.Has anyone got a source for these, NOS? Or perhaps a substitute. Ohio Cycle does not show any.
I just pulled this one out of a NOS fork leg that I bought cheaply from David Silver. It looks like it is made from some kind of thin card or plastic.

I would think you could make something out of thin plastic sheet or form some heat shrink tubing around something slightly larger than the fork tube.

Fork spring guides
The material pictured looks a lot like the sheet stuff you can buy to make gaskets, comes in various thicknesses but should do the job. I suspect the guide is there to suppress rattles between the spring and the fork tube, not highly stressed so material choice isn't critical.
Re: Fork spring guides
I suspect that you’re right about the purpose. It would also protect the fork pipe from being scraped by the spring. Suitable material shouldn’t be difficult to find and cutting it out should also be straightforward, but having the dimensions would make life easier.
