I purchased fork seals off e-bay (it is now so long ago I can't recover the buyer). But the advertisement said "All years from 61-68". Not knowing what I know now, I purchased EARLY seals for my LATE cb77. I think the LATE category kicked in somewhere in 1965 if not mistaken (my bike is a '66).
I see that there are still this type of advertisement on e-bay, so if you are going to replace your fork seals, make sure you get the right ones. The late model seals are thinner.

E-bay buyers beware! Not all fork seals are the same
Flea-bay
GG, I've noticed half the vendors on E-bay don't know what they're selling! It pays to do your homework before bidding. If it wasn't for this forum I would have bought a lot of wrong stuff..........................D

Djormley,
I'm sure you are correct. HOWEVER - in my opinion, it is the responsibility of the seller to correctly advertise! In my case, I contacted the seller, as I often do, and I was assured that he hadn't had any complaints or problems. And then I was sold a wrong part. Buyers must beware - but I hope that sellers will be fair!
