Interchangability of triple trees

Post by Doug » Mon Sep 08, 2003 9:21 am

Does anyone know if any triple trees from Honda bikes will interchange with a stock CB77 frame?
Using alternate trees allows use of better forks and brakes, for vintage racing use.
I have heard that CB500F trees fit up to a 350 frame but don't know about the CB77 frame.
Thanks to all..........
The outer diameter of the fork uppers on the CB-77 is 32mm. On the plus side, the steering bearing set is the same on a lot of the same bikes af the time. For example, the CB350 for about 4 or 5 years afterwards shares the same, so meshing the crown isn't a problem steer-bearing wise.

The problem lies with the clamp topside. I'm looking for a different crown also, and will let you know if I discover something useable. Let me know if you find something also. I plan on using the stock legs.

yeah im looking for a crown (im a assuming this is the same as the top fork bridge). Having the handlebar brackets stick up like that is not so nice looking.

on a side note.. i bought some pro-flo.com clip on handlebars and i bought 31mm!! they dont fit and there are no returns on clip ons. I wish i knew the fork uppers were 32mm.. i measured them and thought it was 31mm :( $114 bucks down the drain!
