Scrambler Exhaust Pipes Yellowing

I recently rechromed the exhaust pipes of my CL77 Scrambler. Does anyone know of any technique to prevent yellowing of the pipes as they exit the engine block? Yes, I do want to ride the bike this summers. Thanks!
