CL77 Front Fork dissassembly

I use a pointed punch and a hammer to remove those top plates of the aluminum sliders.. ..................lm

I think I have the aluminum ones as the seal cover screws in from the top with the pin holes on the top as well. That is exactly what I thought of doing when I first looked at the covers. I was afraid to screw them up though as I don't have spares. It's good to know that I can do that if I need to dissassemble them again.
