Inner fork seal replacement??
Inner fork seal replacement??
Hi everyone. I'm trying to replace the inner fork seals in my father's 1967 305 scrambler and I can't get the friggin things out. I took off the clip under the piston and I thought the piston would slide off. Guess not! Can some one out there give me some advise in how to do this. Thanks

Re: Inner fork seal replacement??
That part is supposed to be loose and rotate on the tube. Tap on it to get it off the end. I remove the steel seal keeper at the top first and then pull down Quick and Hard and the parts at the bottom of the tube will pop the seal out of the slider. .........lm[

Depending on the sliders. The steel ones have the seal in the removable chrome part.
Now I must admit that tis been some time since I've done one of the aluminum slider CB72/77 forks but I "think" (NOT SURE ) that it may be the same. .........................lm
