Throttle rate?

Post by DianneB » Mon Apr 24, 2017 4:50 pm

I changed out my C77 handlebars with mini-apes and put a new twist-throttle that closes on it's own.

The problem is that it is REALLY touch coming off idle. I am using the smallest diameter throttle grip available so I can't gain anything with the "multi-rate" throttles.

I need something between the twist-grip and the carb to make it less sensitive but I haven't been able to find anything "pre-made".

Has anybody seen anything?

Touch - Touchy ? Is there no friction adjustement on it give a bit more drag. Usually a small screw and locknut underneath. No doubt you know this already but !
Regards.

I eliminate ALL the slack in the cable adjustment....just make sure it doesn't speed up when bars are at full lock left or right.

Any slack will exaggerate any twitchiness (if that's a word?)
