carb. jetting/adjusting.
What words of wisdom can I get about re-jetting the carb. on my 67 305 dream? I will be fitting EMGO/DUNSTAL reverse megs with new header pipes and don't want them turning blue !! Any help with the specifics will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Jan

This is for Amal carbs but the principle is the same. I'm sure that there are docs out there for Keihin, too...

If you PM me your email address I have just scanned my Keihin CR race carb tuning guide. Still not 100% what you need but a good read. The Japanese can even spell carburettor properly.... :-)
There are lots of "old wives takes" about pipe blueing and how to prevent / fix it but having the correct mixture strength is the greatest help.
Have fun!

Re: carb. jetting/adjusting.
Hi Jan,
If at all possible use old header pipe's till you get it tuned.
Then make sure the total timing is correct by using a strobe timing light.
Get your jetting dialed in then install your new header pipes.
For my peace of mind I also coat the I.D of header with a high heat thermal barrier.
