Does anyone know which position the needle is supposed to be in. Also should there be a spring on the air screw I believe i am missing it because I really have to turn out the air screw to get the bike to run good and it just seems like it should have one to me. Any help wopuld be greatly appreciated thanks everyone.

Dkemp, no springs behind the adj. screws. If you dont have a shop manual this would be a good time to get one. As far as the idle air adjustment setting, you usually start with it turned out about 1-1/8 turns. The other screw (the one that the head sticks out of the carb body) is an idle speed adj. it raises and lowers the slide. Here is a question,,,Did you remove the slides? if so do you have them back in correctly? That is so important! I believe a manual would describe the initial carb set-up. That is somthing that is absolutly nessassary. Good Luck, Steve Greer
