too much fuel

i just installed a keyster carb rebuild kit on my 66 CL 77 305. the bike ran before but now we cannot get it started. it is getting way too much fuel and fouling plugs.. the new parts were installed exactly how the old came off, how do i adjust the fuel flow from the carb?

Gotchop, Welcom to the forum. Just a guess, but make sure your carb floats are working (not stuck) and check the new needle valves to make sure they actually shut off the fuel supply when the float raises up with the fuel as it enters the bowl. Lastly did you set the float level as per the instructions that may or may not have come with the kit? Let us know what you come up with,Good luck,Steve Greer

we didn't get any instructions with the carb kit.. can anyone specify how to adjust the floats and where they need to be set?<br />

Gotchop, I can look at my shop manual tommrow (it's at my shop) And see if it has that info. My manual is fir a cb77 but I think it coveres youe cl also.Unless someone else reads this and can help. IMHO ya just can't get by without a manual! SteveGreer
