Rebuilding a petcock for a CA77

Post by young4vr » Mon Jun 30, 2008 8:29 am

I got a petcock off of ebay and got the rebuild kit from retrobikes on ebay. I re-assembled it and noticed the lever could be pulled out. I figured out I didn't seem to have all the pieces, the plate with the X riveted to it. Is this needed with the rebuild kit??

No, the plate you mentioned does not come with any rebuild kit I have purchased. I bought mine on E-Bay from Hong Kong. No problem with them sending it. They put a lot of 10 on now and then, and I am sure someone has some. Put out a query.

I got mine from the local Honda shop. They even had it in stock. The internet is great, but sometimes the easiest and cheapest route is through the Honda dealer.
