I've done it both ways, First with a timing light. Then the bike ran like crap. Then I uses a 12 volt test light and one lead on the point and one to ground. When the F mark for the right cylinder lit up the test light, at top dead center and the LF mark for the left cylinder at top dead center and locked it down just as it started to come on. Using the test light VS using the Timing light seemed to work better. Did I do it right? I believe I followed ED Moore's Tuning tip.

I'd say ya did the points correctly.
Now. Does the cam sprocket move?
Did you use the timing light to check for total advance as the RPM's increased?. .............lm

The 135 main from the Keyster kit is probably to big for what you are running. Do you still have the original jet that you took out of the carb?

The cam seems to move good, The advancer is not stuck or any thing. I did not use the timing light to test the advancement. The jets in the carb were Keihn 135 mains. What would a correct main jet be, and were can I find them. Thanks again guys. Dizcod
