Carb looks OK.
Was there a plastic spacer between the carb and the intake?. .............lm

No plastic spacer. The old air hose was directly connected to the carb and clamped on.

Sorry - Yes, there is thick black spacer between the carb and the head.

The spacer should be Red with a steel insert at the bottom of the hole. .....lm

I took it off and tried to clean it a little. Looks like it may have a slight reddish/brown tint to it. Took some pics - Is this what you were talking about or am I missing a part? I don't remember now which side goes where - does the side with the cut out (last picture) go on the head side or the carb side? Is that cut out even supposed to be cut out or is it worn and need to be replaced? Thanks for your help!

That is the part and the "O" ring goes to the HEAD.
Cut out area Down. . ........lm
