fuel cock

Post by kawonda750 » Mon Feb 12, 2018 3:31 pm

Another dumb question. I ordered a fuel cock on ebay and received one with an oblong top where it connects to the fuel cock. It was listed as for CB 77. Is it for CL or CA? Or did some years have this different one? My old CB 77 had the round one and so does the 64 that I am restoring.
THanks
Dave

A photograph would be helpful.

If it has an oblong (with rounded ends face with two fixing holes either side of the fuel riser pipe it's a CL tap.

C/Ca taps are circular with three fixing screws, CB taps are fixed to the tank with a single 17mm A/F nut

Thanks. Then what I received was indeed a CL petcock. Too bad, it was a decent price..

PS, I didn't think a photo was necessary with the description.

Without a pic we can only suspect what you have.
The description you offer can actually fit several HONDA tanks. ................lm
