145 Main Jet
145 Main Jet
Good evening everyone!
I recently acquired a set of Keihin 26 mm carburetors that contain 145 main jets and 42 slow jets. The bowl is also just a bit differently shaped than the ones removed from my '67 CL77 (contains a slight outward bend in the middle on the engine side). The needle jet is marked 24231 which I believe meant for a CB77. Would a CB77 really use a 145 jet? Also, would it be a problem to use the 145's and the 24231 needle on my CL77? These carbs are in really good condition. Pictures below.
Thanks for your interest!!

Re: 145 Main Jet
They are Round Bowl carbs.
Unless your carbs are BAD I would not use them.
For jets and needle the CL77 will run well with 135 42 and the needle should be OK. ..................lm

They are not the correct issue carb for your bike and YES. ................lm

May I ask why not to use the round bowl carbs? My square bowl carbs are good enough to use, I am just curious as to the difference between the two types. Also, are the 145 jets too big to use on a CL77?
Thanks again!
