Every few weeks my CA78 stalls due to fuel starvation. Typically its when I am in traffic, 20 miles from home. The float valve needle sticks in the closed position. I need to take the bowl off the carb and jiggle the needle and then fuel starts to flow again. I have a filter on the fuel line and their doesn't appear to be any dirt in the valve. Anyone else experience this? I could use some advice on how to remedy.
Cheers,
John

a carbie kit should contain a new float needle. Sometimes they may look fine but seem to fail no matter how clean they look. Perhaps a small ridge forms. Sometimes tapping on the side of the carbie releases but is a short term fix.
Probably worth checking the filter isnt clogged also but if it is sticking closed this probably isnt the issue.

Float needle valve
The needle valve on my CL77 seems to be sticking too, both open and closed. I've taken it apart and there is a little play between the needle and the seat channel and I think it must get a little cocked and can stick either way.
