If one side of the exhaust is hot and the other is cold the hot side is firing and the cool side isn't. The non firing side will still pump cool air out of the exhaust.

And gasoline if the carb on that side is working. My guess is bad ignition on that side.

For the record, white smoke and I mean smoke, not mist, is either fuel or water. Blue smoke is oil.

Check the temp at the header coming out of the exhaust port. If it is not hot, it's not firing.

Tavarama, I strongly suggest you go the the library and get a book on internal combustion engines and read about how they work. All 4 stroke gasoline fired, normally aspirated, carbureted engines are basically the same. Once you absorb how an engine works, then get a book about how to troubleshoot engine problems. This stuff is probably all on-line somewhere. You need to take some initiative to learn the basics. When you ask about an oil leak under the engine possibly causing the exhaust to smoke it tells me you lack the basic understand of what is going on inside the engine.

I'm starting to think that your "smoke" from the rotor is oil vapor coming out a crankcase breather. Smoke is the result of something burning. Vapor is the result of a liquid condensing in air. In the case of the breather, it is hot oil and perhaps some exhaust gasses from blow by past the rings.

Good luck,
Rob
