Hold up on the coil. Take your dead battery out of the circuit and jump the bike off your car battery. If you still don't have spark, send me a private message and I'll send you a coil to try. I just went through this myself and everyone here helped me through it. Don't get discouraged.invizibletouch wrote:Just tried 2 new ones cause I DID buy a box! LOL

Thanks Phil! The battery is on a trickle charge all day today while I'm at the office. Thing is, the electric starter is pretty much done as far as engaging. Just spins now. I've historically had much better luck kicking it. Then again the arch of my foot is blue today. lol! Just ordered points & a float kit from the link you posted.milwaukeephil wrote:Hold up on the coil. Take your dead battery out of the circuit and jump the bike off your car battery. I'm just learning this stuff myself, so it's all fresh in my head. I was having an issue with having no spark recently and after trying a new coil and condenser it turned out the dead battery left in the circuit, even when jumping from a car, was the culprit. Had nothing to do with running the starter; the point is that the battery was absorbing what the car was kicking out and causing the coil to not fire.
