It fits quite well.
I put some foam between it and the top brace to stop it from moving around and shorting.

So far plenty of power to turn the bike over.

Problem solved.

I made a uni filter adapter following the instructions here. The only change I made was that I made my hose the same length as the original hose. My filter is also a bit shorter and a bit fatter. 100mm diameter of the foam, 200 mm height. It is a wet foam with a dry foam cover, but it is not covered...

We shall see if this is the end of my issues. I really should have checked this first, but at least I...

I went with a YT9B-BS Specifications are: SA M/Free fill & no spill 12v 8A 100cca Left Hand Positive 150mm ...

Thanks guys I can now do some research! Unfortunately the ebay listings are not much good to me I will see what I can find here in Australia as generally people do not tend to post batteries overseas and when they do the shipping is pretty expensive! Also shipping from the US can take up to 45 days ...

Early Ca77 Battery

Ok this has been done a hundred times, but I need to do it again... I have checked the other posts and they are all very helpful, except the links they provide are old and no longer work. I have a 1963 CA77 engine number CA77E312057. I beleive this means it is the earlier type that cannot use the 12...

Sorry I meant to say it but didn't,

Thanks a heap for the advice.
