I hope I don't sound stupid but are yaw talking about moving the gears from their original position in a x pattern and that makes a improvement in the way it shifts?

Snakeoil, all I used was fishing line with a washer tied on one end and steel wool tied on the other end dipped in cleaning solvent. Several passes pulled thru and rinsed with soapy water.And correct, no muffler.

chrome plating

I had Highline Plating in Cuba, Mo. do all my chrome including the pipes on my cl77. He charged me $160 for both pipe sand did a good job. 800-596-5473

Tom, thanks for the reply. My seat that was on the bike did not have anything silver on it except the silver trim around the bottom . Thanks Dana and Dgormley for the welcome, with the info I did find the $ 22,700 ebay sale and picture. Has my curosity wondering if the rairity of the candy orange had anything to do with the price.
