Doesn’t start after top end rebuild
I’ve recently rebuilt my top end, bored 1mm oversized, ultrasonic cleaned carbs, all the correct jets and needle, no valve leaks, set gaps and timing. I have bright spark, fresh fuel, new battery. But for some reason the bike won’t start, when I crank it over the left carb backfires fuel every 5 or ...

Replacement Ignition coils
Hello all,
Does anyone know of a good replacement for the Honda CB77 ignition coils. Looking for a modern replacement. Doesn't need to be identical in size as I can make a bracket. Just something that'll last and good quality
Thanks

Re: Popping and backfire from left exhaust
Thanks for the reply, I noticed when looking at the parts for the exhaust on the cmsnl there’s two types of gasket for the muffler, one circular Red and the other larger black gasket that slots into the muffler. Do these make any difference? My bike also hasn’t got the stock split collar for tighten...

Popping and backfire from left exhaust
Hello all, My CB77 runs and rides well with good compression, timing is all good and the bike starts up nice and easily. But I have a constant popping from the left exhaust, I’m guessing it’s probably unburnt fuel entering the exhaust but I can’t seem to solve the problem. Any ideas? Both carbs need...

Re: Engine dies twisting throttle
Thanks, I'll have a read. I did try changing with the needle position a few days back. It was on the middle and I lowered the needle, so placed the clip one up from the middle. I'll give a go on all the other positions and see how it goes

Re: Engine dies twisting throttle
Thanks for the reply, I removed and cleaned out the carbs due to the bike running a bit rough when purchased. Turned out the o ring on the carb had disintegrated and gone into the carb, so i replaced that and the bike is running much better now when idling. It does idle great and I can ride it just ...

Engine dies twisting throttle
Hello all, I have an issue with my CB77. The bike starts up nice and easy, idles perfectly on both cylinders but as soon as I twist the throttle the engine dies. The only way i can rev the engine is if I very slowly turn the throttle and I mean very slowly. I'm guessing it may be a fuelling issue. A...
