Perhaps, just perhaps, sustained gentle pressure applied equally each side to separate the cases at front or rear might open up a gap enought to get, say, a scalpel blade started. Silicone tends to be quite heat resistant but petrol (gas) can attack it, trouble is getting it into the joint. Sorry bu...

That's a really good question Geoff; I think I would just get it to the point where I can ride it and then decide. I've done full restorations but not sure I've got another in me, much as I would love to see it all shining and new. There is of course much to do before even that point, not least find...
