Thanks for the tip on the needle, raised it one notch and eliminated all flat spots, the other problem was caused by the float crossbar being slightly bent, one float was higher than the other, Replaced it with a good one from my spare parts box and all is well. Thanks for the help.

Steve, thanks for the quick reply. The needle is set in the 3rd position from the bottom. Do you know where the float measurement should be taken from? There is a notch on the side of the carburetor body next to the float and if you measure form there it is right on, if you measure from the higher l...

CL77 high speed carburetor trouble

Hello, I'm new to the forum and first time post. I recently finished restoring a '67 CL77 and the carbs are giving me fits. It runs fine at slow and mid range but dogs when wide open. When I run it wide open and close the choke slightly it cleans up and revs right to red line. That indicates that it...
