I seem to recall that it’s 8mm id thinwall tubing (I’m not at home until the end of this week). A length of similar black polypropylene tube from a marine store, plumbing merchant, compressed air parts seller or such the like is all you need.

I’ve had a few lock barrels apart but the tumblers have always stayed in the barrel as long as the key is in place. Sorry if my ignorance of this type of keyswitch mislead you here! I’d’ve expected the offending tumbler(s) to sit proud of the barrel when the key is in there, hence my filing-down sug...

Great tutorial for those who need to service their keyswitch! I’d be inclined to insert the key then tap out the barrel from the inside; you should be able to observe the offending tumbler(s).
