I’ve had a few lock barrels apart but the tumblers have always stayed in the barrel as long as the key is in place. Sorry if my ignorance of this type of keyswitch mislead you here! Great tutorial for those who need to service their keyswitch! I’d be inclined to insert the key then tap out the barrel from the inside; you should be able to observe the offending tumbler(s).
