Thanks for the help to loud mouse and kustommusic.. To loud mouse I checked the gap on the points should be 0.012~0.016 or in between right?? correct me if I'm wrong.. To kustommusic the info about getting new sparks plugs is interesting the first new pair of plugs I bought fouled out and they didn'...

Ok I got a compression gauge. I looked up in the shop manual and it says that the compression on the cylinders should be at 120.87 lb per square inch Standard. the repair Limit is 99.54 lb per square inch. So I checked it out took both spark plugs out and started on the right cylinder held the compr...

No I have'nt checked the compression yet I have to get a pressure gauge... As soon as I do I'll break the news... As for the points I gapped them as required in the book.. Seems I have a good spark after I clean the spark plugs the bike just starts right up no problem... I'll just keep chipping away...

carb flange

The carb flange on my ca77 has a rubber seal.. That doesn't look to good.
can I take the rubber seal off and replace it.. or should I get a new carb flange? will this cause my carb to suck in to much air and blacken the plugs? Thanks
