Hook up a voltmeter and see what it does after 8 miles??

Haaa im not quite there yet!!

Noting was indexed correctly and no spring pressure inside the rh cover.
I did end up splitting the cases, for a different reason, and the shaft and rollers were good. Someone else might have replaced??

The kick stopper bolt, behind the clutch basket and the larger of the bolts that retains the shifting detent was loose and backed out almost touching the basket!!
Good news, but i also found a piece of a gear cotter in the sump. Engine is coming out and bottom coming off for inspection

Im scared mine may be bad.
The shaft will not stop going clockwise, but the kicked did work, justcwas not indexed right.
Im going to see if the kick stopper bolt is broke Or missing?? Or???

Coming out of storage 30 years.
What would YOU do??
Tensioners?
Check screen?

welp the kick shaft coming out of the cases will crank the motor when turned counter clockwise... BUT when trying to index everything to put together, the shaft turns and turns and turns clockwise... The previous owner had probably changed he clutch cable and failed to put things back correctly, and...
